Whole Foods Market | Highland Village
Highland Village, Texas, a suburb of Dallas, is a relatively new community founded just over 50 years ago. This, its first Whole Foods Market store, was designed as an ode to mid-western agrarian life. Our furniture package reflects that aesthetic in form and modernizes it in materials and colors. In the open cafe dining area, the picnic tables and benches are designed to look like those at an outdoor farmers market, and while the tops are constructed from reclaimed barn board, the wood is stained black and attached to steel frames powder coated in amped-up colors. The Windsor back chairs comfortably belong in a farmhouse kitchen, but bright green paint updates their humble form. Children are invited to engage their imagination at the ladybug tables and aphid stools. The adjacent coffee lounge consists of slatted benches that resemble paddock fencing, further enhancing the outdoors feel. And just beyond the store’s doors, two separate dining areas invite guests to relax on front porch style lounge furniture.
